At SF Diag we specialize in providing quick, comprehensive OBD diagnostic scans for supported Volkswagen Group vehicles. No repairs, no complicated explanations—just pure diagnostic data so you know exactly what’s going on under the hood. Think of us as your car’s personal translator, telling you what that check engine light really means, without any wrench-wielding drama.

Note: We currently do not offer repairs or maintenance services, only scans and diagnostics. Pricing below includes the cost of running automatic scans, logging fault codes, and providing a copy of the results.

The BaseScan – Knowledge is the First Step

  • What’s Included: Automatic full-system scan, diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) retrieval, and a neatly formatted report. Perfect for a quick “health check” of your vehicle’s brain.
  • How We Price It: We believe that the newer the car, the more complicated its internals—and the more complicated the internals, the more we deserve a few extra coins for having to decode those fancy electronics. So, our BaseScan cost starts at a flat $20 for any model year 2000, and for each year after 2000, we add just $1.
    • Example: Have a 2015 model? That’s $50 + (2015 – 2000) = $20 + 15 = $35 total.
    • Got a classic 1999? Congratulations, you pay just $20 because it’s practically vintage tech now.
  • Bottom Line: The older your car, the cheaper the scan! (Time to show off that ’90s classic.)

The ProScan – Add a Little Extra Polish

  • What’s Included: Everything in the BaseScan, plus additional subsystem checks (like infotainment, comfort modules, and those mysterious extra sensors your car thought it needed). You also get a brief explanation of the codes found—think of it as a captioned tour of your vehicle’s interior workings.
  • Pricing: ProScan is BaseScan Price + $20.
    • Example: For that same 2015 model, the BaseScan is $35, so ProScan would be $55 total.
    • Sure, it’s a bit more, but now you get a more in-depth look and a little extra narrative around what the codes actually mean.

The MasterScan – You Want it All

  • What’s Included: Everything from ProScan, plus we’ll dig even deeper—extended module access, advanced measure blocks (if supported), and a custom overview summarizing your vehicle’s digital health. We’ll highlight any imminent issues, even if they’re not triggering a check engine light yet. Consider this the “full body check-up” for your four-wheeled companion.
  • Pricing: MasterScan is BaseScan Price + $40.
    • Example: For that 2015 model, MasterScan would be $35 (BaseScan) + $40 = $75.
  • Worth It?: If you’re the kind of person who reads product manuals for fun, this is the package for you.
